2 Dog handlers were called to assist Dartmoor SRT Tavistock in the search for a 86 year old male. Located deceased by Search Dog Max and Alex Lyons.

DOG FIND

4 Dog Handlers were called to assist Derby MRT in a search for a 58 year old despondent male, Search Dog Zak and Nick Smith, found a rucksack at the edge of a Quarry, and the gent’s body was on a ledge 50' below.

12 October 21:45 Peak District Dog Team Located

4 Dog Handlers were called to assist Edale MRT in a search for a 60 year old female who was reported missing by her daughter when they became separated in the dark. She was
located by dog handler John Coombs when she started shouting when seeing their torches.

23 June 05:30 Peak District DOG FIND

2 dogs called to assist Edale MRT in the search for a 20 year old male who was missing from home.  He was found below a wall by
Search Dog Toby and Paul Taylor from Glossop MRT, who walked him off to the road head.

DOG FIND

1 Dog Handler was called to assist North of Tyne SRT in a continuation of the search for a missing 78 year old male. Previous searches had been carried out on the 27th & 29th of May.

Search Dog Hamish showed substantial interest in the river, which was reported to the Search Manager by the dog handler. A Police dive team located the body of the missing gentleman on the 7th of June in the river.

10 Apr 14:15 Peak District DOG FIND
Buxton MRT were called by East Midlands Ambulance Service to assist when they received a report of a 15 year old female with leg injures in woodland, because of the number of tracks, hasty searches were undertaken by team members.
Search Dog Zak and Nick Smith located and pinpointed her location, she was treated by paramedics and stretchered to the ambulance.

21 Mar 21:20 Yorkshire Dales DOG FIND
Two Dog teams were asked to assist with a search of Ingleborough in sense fog, following a report of a crashed light aircraft.
The aircraft wreck with 2 injured men was located on a remote hillside to the east of Ingleborough summit by
Bill Batson and Search dog Glen shortly after midnight. The two men were evacuated 2km by stretcher to Rescue team Land Rovers.

13 Mar 13:00 Peak District DOG FIND
Search dogs were called to assist Derby MRT search for a missing female from Somercotes. The female had last been seen at 1710 on 10/03/11 leaving her workplace and heading on her normal route home through woods, along a well maintained footpath.

Extensive police enquiries had subsequently failed to located her.

Search dogs were deployed into the areas with MR team members following on behind in a line search. At roughly 16:10 hours
Search Dog Megan located the body of a female person. Due to the circumstances of the find a murder investigation has subsequently been commenced by Derbyshire police.

10 Mar 18:30 Peak District DOG FIND
3 SARDA teams were asked to assist with a search of scrub and waste ground at Sandiacre, near to the river Erewash and the Erewash canal. A 76 year old man had been seen abandoning his car near the canal earlier and had not returned to his home.

Nothing was found that evening and the searchers were stood down at 22:30. However
Search Dog Biscuit, had indicated next to the water 5m below Sandiacre Lock, and search dogs Toby and Zak had shown some interest in the area.

A police underwater team started a search the next morning from the point marked the previous night where Biscuit had barked. The divers soon found a man’s body between the 2 sets of gates.

SARDA Teams were called to assist and Devon & Cornwall Police after a Car was reported being in a Coastal car park for two days.
A search of thick gorse on cliff tops near Bedruthan revealed no trace of the missing man and was called off at1900. However,
Alex Lyons reported indications from his search dog Max at a point above High Cove. A H M Coast guard rescue team followed up on the search debrief the next day and found a man’s body, on the beach,under the cliffs near the point where Max had indicated.

3 rescue teams and 7 Search dogs were called to search for 2 men who were lost in thick fog on Bleaklow. The walkers were found on Allport Moor by Search Dog Bob and Mick Nield at 2100, they were cold and wet, but able to walk off with the team members.

11 February 16:40 North East Region DOG FIND
2 Dog teams were called at 16:40 to assist with a search for a missing  37 year old male. Teams arrived on site at 17:20 and soon found missing persons car. A quick 30 minute search of the lake shore was initiated followed by a search of the high Pennines, including Moor House, Pennine Way and Cross Fell area.

The team were taken as far into the fell as possible by Landover. After 30 minutes of searching in very poor visibility Nut struck and returned to indicate. This continued for about 5 indication sequences each extending out further than the last, crossing and re-crossing Trout Beck (had to be a fresh ground scent).
The missing man heard Nut's indication and made himself know by shouting for help.


Search dog Nut
located the person and gave a very loud indication. The Team assessed the causalty and found him to be physically fit but very confused and frightened. He confirmed that he had spent a lot of time in the area of the initial indication and had crossed and re-crossed the beck. He told us this to explain just how confused and disorientated he was. He was equipped with a map and compass but no torch so could not read them. Search ended 21:30
