29 December 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken) Nicki Lyons (Cavos) Matt Robertson (Amber) were called to assist Dartmoor SRT with search for a two persons lost on Dartmoor in the Princetown area. They had telephoned Police to say they were lost. They had a tent and sleeping bags. The search was stood down at midnight due to very bad weather conditions. The next morning they were spotted by the Naval rescue helicopter and taken to hospital for check ups. Details of the incident are at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/6219149.stm

26 December 2006 YDP
Bill Batson (Fern) where called at 15:20 to search for 3 overdue walkers on Whernside. They were located safe and well walking down path to Ribblehead. Dog search not required.

25 December 2006 PDMRO DOG FIND (1 Person)
John Coombs (Biscuit), Ian Bunting (Tyke) and Steve Ward ( Bryn) were called at 18:30 to Big Moor in the Peak District to search for a missing 70 year old. The missing person had called 999 to inform police that he had become lost in the fog and was too tired to move onward. The missing person was located at 21:00 by John Coombs and Biscuit, aided by the missing person blowing their whistle when they had heard John's voice whilst working Biscuit. The missing person was found weak and shivering with his dog Bonn, and aided off the hill by Edale MRT.

22 December 2006 YDP
Bill Batson (Fern) where called to search for a missing mother and son who had reported theselve lost in mist on Ingleborough. They were found by a member of the public and escorted to a CRO vehicle for onward transport to Clapham.

12 - 13 December 2006 NESRA
Lee Ferry (Bracken) and Paul Fell (Holly) called at 22:00 and put on standby to search for a missing 14yr old girl who had failed to arrive home from school that afternoon. Search commenced at 06:30 on 13th of dense woodland and industrial estates around the school. Search stood down at 13:00 after reports of a young girl seen hitchhiking. The girl turned up safe and well outside of the search area.

26 November 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken) Nicki Lyons (Cavos) Matt Robertson (Amber) were called to assist Cornwall SRT with search of farmland. for a 94 year missing person suffering from Alzheimer's, and who had been reported missing over night. During the search he was spotted by helicopter at the foot of a 70" cliff, which he had fallen down. Rescued by members of Cornwall SRT, remarkably he was just bruised and hypothermic

23 November 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken), Nicki Lyons (Cavos), Matt Robertson (Amber) & Dave Humphrey (Storm) with navigators Jamie Reading and Catharine Clark (Dartmoor SRT Tavistock) were called to assist Dartmoor SRT Ashburton to Kingsbridge Devonwith a search for a despondent female missing from home. Dog teams were stood down on route when the missing person was located by Police

23 November 2006 SARDA Lakes Assist
Ian Thompson (Beth ), Steve Ward (Bryn were called to assist in the search for a Male with medical history who went for a walk in cat bells area on the 21st and did not return to accommodation. The person was found by walker about 1km from climbing hut .

15 November 2006 SWERA
Nicki Lyons (Cavos) and Alex Lyons (Aiken) were called at 07:30 to assist with the continuation of search from previous day. Teams tasked with searching river bank, fields and beach near where her car was found. Search terminated at 15:30 with out a find.

14 November 2006 SWERA
Nicki Lyons (Cavos) and Matt Robertson (Amber) were called at 15:00 to assist with the search for the missing 52 year old despondent female missing from home in the Budleigh Salterton area. Teams tasked with searching woodland, fields and coastal path near where her car was found. Search terminated at 23:30 with out a find.

7 November 2006 NESRA
Lee Ferry (Bracken), Dave Herbert (Thor) and Anita Herbert (Merlot) called at 06:30 to assist with the search for a missing vulnerable 72yr old male in the Catchgate area of Co Durham. Tasked to search woodland and farmland. The missing person was located by MR Team at 15:15 he was tired, hungry and confused but otherwise unharmed despite having been wandering for 2 days and one night.

06 November 2006 SWERA
Nicki Lyons (Cavos), Alex Lyons (Aiken), Matt Robertson (Amber) and Dave Humphrey (Storm) were called to assist with the continuation of the search for the missing 70 year old (See 5th November). Stood down en route when body located by MCA Helicopter.

05 November 2006 SWERA
Nicki Lyons (Cavos) and Dave Humphrey (Storm) were called to assist Ashburton Search And Rescue to search for a missing 70 year old reporter overdue from coastal path walk, whilst on holiday in area. Teams tasked to search coastal path. Stood down at 04:30 without a find.

31 October 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken), Nicki Lyons (Cavos) and Matt Robertson (Amber) were called at 16:15 to assist Plymouth Search And Rescue to search for a missing 40 year old potential suicidal male missing from home, he had not had his medication. Teams tasked to search urban area of dense undergrowth and thicket that had previously been searched by police dogs. Stood down at 18:00 without any finds. Police to search other areas next day. (Update : the missing person was found deceased the following day by a M.o.D. Police boat)

29 October 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken), Nicki Lyons (Cavos) and Matt Robertson (Amber) were called at 12:00 to assist Dartmoor Search And Rescue to search for a 41 year old despondent male missing from home. Found by Police in village. Dog teams stood down en route.

28 October 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken), Nicki Lyons (Cavos), Matt Robertson (Amber) and Dave Humphrey (Storm) were called at 18:45 to assist Dartmoor Search And Rescue to search for a 9 year old boy missing from home. Concern was high as he needs regular insulin and had none with him. Thre dog teams were tasked to search old overgrown railway line, woodland and farmland. Stood down at 21:00 when he was found OK by a member of the public.

28 October 2006 YDP DOG FIND (1 Person)
Bill Batson (Fern) and Kev Stead (Gyp) were called to search for a 28 yr old lady from London who had contacted her hostel in London by mobile phone to say that she had or was about to take an overdose. The mobile call traced to Wassa Hill mast near Conistone, Wharfedale. Ground teams and 2 search dogs were deployed to search ground either side of Dales Way footpath. After approx 40 minutes searching, search dog Fern entered scent cone and followed this for approx 250 metres to find missing person, who was lying on open ground in Dib Scar area. She had been there all night and had taken an overdose of pain killers. She was conscious but only just lucid when found, and was clearly deteriorating. Upper Wharfedale FRA members contacted by radio and casualty was subsequently carried by stretcher to rescue vehicle.

18 October 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken), Nicki Lyons (Cavos) and Matt Robertson (Amber) were called at 12:00 to assist Dartmoor Search And Rescue to search for a 74 year old depressed male missing from home. Three dog teams tasked to search Sheep's Tor and adjacent moorland / woodland as it was suspected that he may have gone there. Stood down when search completed without a find.

17 October 2006
Ian Thompson (Beth ) was called to assist in the search for a missing person in the Simonside area. The missing person was contacted by phone and was located in the Lordenshaws and Whitton area South of Rothbury by the team. They had become lost in thick fog.

16 October 2006 SWERA
Nicki Lyons (Cavos) and Matt Robertson (Amber) were called at 22:45 to assist Dartmoor Search And Rescue to search for a 38 year old male who had telephoned his wife earlier in the day to say he was going to comitt suicide. Police searched during the day and called MRT late in the evening. Teams searched Golf course and farmland. The person was located by police the following day in a local shop

15 October 2006 NESRA / SARDA Lakes
Brian Allport (Gem) and Ian Thompson (Beth ) were called to assist Kirby Steven MRT in the search for a missing person in the Tan Hill area. Nothing found.

14 October 2006 NESRA
Paul Fell and Holly were called at 04:00 by Northumberland National Parks and North of Tyne MRT's to assist in a search for a missing male in the Chopwell area. The team was stood down at 06:30 when the missing person had made their way to a phone box outside of the search area.

11 October 2006 SWERA
Dave Humphrey (Storm) Alex Lyons with Aiken and Nicki Lyons (Cavos) were called at 20:00 to assist Exemoor Search And Rescue to search Axminster Hospital grounds and local farm land for a 78 year old male Alzheimer’s patient who had gone missing from a ward, stood down before deployment at 21:00 when nursing staff located him in hospital grounds.

9 October 2006 NESRA / SARDA Lakes
Des Toward with Misty and Paul Fell with Holly were called at 08:30 to assist Kirby Stephen MRT and SARDA Lakes in the search for a missing male in open woodland and open fells around the Kirby Stephen area after a car was found belonging to the missing person. The search was stood down at 15:30 hrs

07 October 2006 YDP

Bill Batson (Fern) and Andy Colau (Tara) were called at 21:15 to search for 2 walkers on the Three Peaks walk who became lost in low cloud on summit plateau, descended into Clapham Bents area as darkness came on. Contacted plolice by mobile phone. Search quickly located them above Trow Gill by CRO/Sarda Members and escorted down

07 October 2006 YDP DOG FIND (1 Person)
Continuing from the previous days search, David Warden (Nell), Paul Fell (Holly), Dave Herbert (Thor) and Anita Herbert (Merlot) were called at 09:00 to assist Swaledale MRT to search for a missing male who had been the driver of a car that had fallen into the river Swale at Downholme Bridge. The driver was found by David and search dog Nell 2 miles down stream. Recovery was undertaken by Police divers.

06 October 2006 YDP
Paul Fell (Holly) and Tim Wood (Toggle) were called at 17:00 to assist Swaledale MRT to search for a missing male who had been the passenger of a car that had fallen into the river Swale at Downholme Bridge. The passenger was found deceased in the car, a search began but stood down for health and safety reasons by the police at 21:00

04 October 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken), Matt Robertson (Amber) and Dave Humphrey (Storm) were called to assist Dartmoor Search And Rescue to search for a 88 year old male who had rung Police saying that he had been chased by a bull and was now lost. The man was found as the dogs were on route.

23 September 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons with Aiken and Matt Robertson with Amber were called at 12:00 to assist Cornwall Search And Rescue to search for a despondent male missing from home, stood down at 13:00 when Police located him in the local pub.

24 September 2006 MPSRO
Bill Batson and Fern were called out by Bowland Pennine MRT to assist in search for 83 yr old lady missing from a nursing home near Ormskirk. The missing person was located in grounds of home just as handler arrived at RV.

21 September 2006 PDMRO
John Coombs (Biscuit) and Simon Adams (Pip) called at 23:30 to search for a missing walker on Bleaklow with suspected broken. Found by Glossop MRT suffering with hypothermia and a broken ankle. Airlifted to hospital by RAF Sea King helicopter. Incident ended 06:00.

21 September 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons with Aiken and Matt Robertson with Amber were called to assist Dartmoor Search And Rescue to search woodland for a 52 year old despondent male, stood down at 21:00 when search of woodland completed nothing found.

21 September 2006 PDMRO DOG FIND (1 Person)
Simon Adams and Pip, John Coombs and Biscuit, Steve Ward and Bryn, Ian Bunting and Tyke were called to search for a missing suicidal male whose vehicle had been located by Police. Simon and Pip located the person in Crowden Little Brook, and he was evacuated to a nearby Mountain Rescue Landrover by members of Glossop, Woodhead, Oldham and Kinder teams. .

13 SEPTEMBER 2006 SWERA
Dave Humphrey (Storm) were called at 03:00 to assist Exmoor SRT to search farm land and parks in the Tiverton area for a 28yr old male depressed drug addict who had run away from his girlfriends house threatening to kill himself. He had already attempted suicide twice in the previous two days. The search ended at 07:00 without a find.

13 SEPTEMBER 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), John Coombs (Biscuit) and Steve Ward (Bryn) were called at 1650 to search old quarry areas ands woodland in the Killamarsh area of Sheffield for for an 18yr old female suffering with depression. She was located and evacuated to hospital by MR personnel.

10 September 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), John Coombs (Biscuit), Simon Adams (Pip) and Steve Ward ((Bryn) were called to search for a 34 year old female missing from the previous day who had taken an overdose of prescription drugs, around the Manvers area of Rotherham. Located by the Police as Teams and dogs were deploying.

9 September 2006 NESRA
Lee Ferry (Bracken), Des Toward (Misty) and Paul Fell(Holly) called at 14:30 to assist with the search for a missing vulnerable 8yr old female in the Stanley area. Stood down en route to the search area when the girl turned up safe and well.

07 SEPTEMBER 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), John Coombs (Biscuit) and Steve Ward (Bryn) were called at 11:30 to assist Edale MRT and Police in the search of Woodland, Park land and Golf course in the Ecclesall area of Sheffield for a 64 year old male missing since the day before. The search was stood down at 20:30 with nothing found.

06 SEPTEMBER 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), John Coombs (Biscuit) were called at 14:30 to assist Derbyshire Police in the search of waste land in Derby for a 74 year old missing vulnerable male. The search was stood down at 17:00 when nothing had been found.

06 SEPTEMBER 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken), Matt Robertson (Amber) were called at 20:00 to assist Tavistock SRT to search for a walker who had telephoned Police and said they were lost. Walker later turned up at search rendezvous point.

30 August 2006 NESRA
Brian Allport (Gem) was called to assist in the search for a 34 year old missing male in the Berwick area. Nothing was found and the person was located by police at a friends house 2 days later.

26/27August 2006 LDSAMRA / MPSRO / YDP
Andy Colau (Tara), Bill Batson (Fern), David Warden (Nell), Kevin Stead (Gyp) were called to help Duddon and Furness team in the Lake District to search for a missing male who had been reported missing walking on Scafell. He stayed out over night on Crinkle Crags and walked off the next day. The missing person was located approximately two hours after the search dogs were deployed.

24 August 2006 NESRA DOG FIND (1 Person)
Des Toward and Misty were called to search for a missing 26 year old Female near the Cockfield Fell area in County Durham at 17:15hrs. Des and Misty, accompanied by navigator Graeme White located the missing person in a wooded gorge at 19:30hrs

22 AUGUST 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken), Matt Robertson (Amber), were called by Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team to assist in the search for a 42 year old male reported missing overnight on Sunday. Was last seen by an off duty policeman walking on Dartmoor. The search was stood down after 5 hours when the man withdrew money from ATM machine.

21 August 2006 YDP
Andy Colau (Tara) were called to help search for a missing vulnerable young male who had been reported missing. The missing person was located by police as the team was deploying and search dogs were en route, and the search was stood down.

17 AUGUST 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), John Coombs (Biscuit), Steve Ward(Bryn) and Simon Adams(Pip) were called at 1830 to assist Buxton MRT in the search for a family of 4 who had reported by mobile phone that they were lost on Kinder Scout in poor weather. They where located by the MRT safe and well.

12 AUGUST 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting ( Tyke) were called at 2140 to assist Edale MRT in the search for 2 missing walkers reported overdue from a walk on Kinder Scout by friends waiting for them in Edale. Dog team tasked to search Nab, Ringing Roger and Edale Moor. Walker located safe and well in the Woolpacks area by MTR personnel. Search ended at 2345

12 August 2006 LDSAMRA
Andy Colau (Tara), Ian Thompson (Beth), Brian Allport (Gem) Anita Herbert (Merlot) and Dave Herbert (Thor) were called to help Penrith team search for a missing 70 year old missing since the previous day. Locals on Monday morning heard a dog on the hill barking. Further investigations found the dog running back to the old man who was hidden in undergrowth. The man was carried by stretcher by Penrith MRT off the hill to Air Ambulance and hospital.

11 August 2006 NESRA
Lee Ferry (Bracken) were called to search for a vulnerable male adult missing from home for 8 hours in the Newton Aycliffe area. Search commenced at 19.30hrs of a woodland area and was terminated at 20:30hrs when the Male returned home.

22 July 2006 NESRA
Ian Thompson (Beth), Brian Allport (Gem) and Lee Ferry (Bracken) were called to search for a 33 year old man who had gone missing from West Pelton near Chester-le-Street Saturday afternoon. Dog teams were tasked to search dense woodland next to Beamish Museum. While thirty members of three mountain rescue teams (Teesdale & Weardale SRT, North or Tyne SRT and Northumberland National parks SRT) searched the surrounding areas. After six hours no trace of the young man was found the search was called off.

14 JULY 2006 MPSRO
Andy Colau ( Tara), Les Telford (SARDA Lakes), John Coombs (Biscuit), Steve Ward (Bryn) and Simon Adams (Pip) were called to assist Bowland Pennine MRT in the search for a missing 8 year old, who had been reported missing over night. The missing child was located safe and well shortly after the search dog handlers began to arrive on scene and were stood won

12 JULY 2006 NESRA
Anita Herbert (Merlot) were called at 1200 to assist North of Tyne SAR in the search for a missing 62year old depresive, who had been reported missing by his family since 0230 on 11th . The person was located by Police in hospital he had been admitted as an unidentified male early on the Tuesday morning.

09 JULY 2006 PDMRO
Simon Adams (Pip) was called to assist Oldham Team and Greater Manchester Police to search fields and rough ground for missing vulnerable 60yr old male in the Oldham area. The search commenced at 08:30 and was terminated at 09:10 when the missing person was sighted heading towards town centre.

30 JUNE 2006 PDMRO
Simon Adams (Pip) was called to assist Oldham Team and Greater Manchester Police to search between Chew and Dovestones reservoirs for articles of clothing or person they belonged to. The search commenced at 00:15 and was terminated at 01:30 an article of clothing was found and recovered as requested by the police

27 June 06 YDP
Andy Colau and Tara were called at 21.30 to search for 4 young persons overdue whilst walking The Three Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales who has split from the main walking group earlier in the day. The main party arrived back in Horton safe & well and raised the alarm. Andy and Tara searched the lower slopes of Ingleborough along with team members from the Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO). The missing party were located by CRO members in the team and rover on Newby Moss (South Ingleborough) and returned to the main group.

27 June 06 SWERA
03:00hrs Alex Lyons with Aiken, Matt Robertson with Amber, Dave Humphrey with Storm with navigators, Nicki Lyons, Jamie Reading and Catherine Clark were called by Cornwall SRT to assist in a search for a 51 year old male suffering from Alzheimer's, reported missing after he climbed out the bedroom window of his residential home. The search was stood down at 22:00hrs with nothing found. Also involved were four Police dogs, Police Helicopter, Police underwater search team and thee MR teams

24 June 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons with Aiken, Matt Robertson with Amber, along with navigators Nicki Lyons and Jamie Reading were called by Exmoor Search & Rescue Team to assist in the search for a missing vulnerable 18 year old male. The search dogs were stood down 85 miles into their journey to the search when the missing person was found safe and well by Police in a supermarket 10 miles from home.

18 JUNE 2006 PDMRO
Simon Adams (Pip), Steve Ward (Bryn) and John Coombs (Biscuit) were called to assist Holme Valley Team to search Woodlands in the Thunderbridge area for a missing vulnerable female. The search commenced at 06:30 and was terminated at 08:30 without a find when the search objectives had been completed.

17 JUNE 2006 MPSRO
Dave Marsh (Chi) were called to search with Bolton MRT for a missing vulnerable 22 year old male in the upland areas surrounding Horwich.

17 JUNE 2006 YDP
Kevin Stead (Gyp) were called at 17:30 to assist Upper Warfdale Fell Rescue Team to search 2 disused Quarries, School grounds and Wooded perimeter of Cemetary in the Harrogate area for a 48yr old depresive male who had been missing since the evening before, reported as only wearing shorts and shoes The search was terminated at 22:00 without a find when the search objectives had been completed.

15 May 2006 NESRA
Lee Ferry (Bracken) and Paul Fell (Holly) were called to search for a man walking Pennine Way who had contacted police via mobile phone reporting himself lost. Initial search taken by Penrith and Kirby Stephen Mountain Rescue Teams, and Teesdale and Weardale contacted at 1300hrs Mobile phone had been ping’d to a general area found in grouse butt by RAF helicopter

13 May 06 SWERA
Matt Robertson (Amber) , Alex Lyons (Aiken), Dave Humphrey (Storm) were called by Tavistock SRT to assist in a search for a group of 11-15yr olds on the 10 Tors walk who had failed to turn up at a check point. Dogs tasked to search Standon Hill. The group was found well but tired on Lynch Tor by Tavistocks Hasty team.

13 May 2100hrs PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke) and John Coombs (Biscuit) with Edale and Buxton Teams were called to locate and evacuate a collapsed fell runner reported suffering from Hypoglycaemia on the southern edges of Kinder Scout. Although a grid reference had been given, it was turning dark and the cloud base was dropping. Team members and equipment were sent up Grindsbrook, with Ian Bunting and Tyke, with Ed Proudfoot navigating. On the way up shouts were heard coming from the Nab area so Ian, Tyke and Ed headed toward the voices, to discover the casualty and another fell runner walking off.

11 May 06 MPSRO
David Warden (Nell) and Pete Shaw (Bracken) were called at 18:30 to assist Bolton MRT for a search for a missing depressive person who had not been seen since the previous day. Dog teams where tasked to search surrounding farmland and woodland. The person was found deceased by MRT members in an area not allocated to the dog teams. Search ended 21:40

09 May 2006 NESRA
Lee Ferry (Bracken) and Paul Fell (Holly) were called to search for a missing 35 year old in the Peterlee area. Police are continuing with their enquiries.

05 MAY 2006 PDMRO
Simon Adams(Pip) and Steve Ward (Bryn) were called at 17:30 to assist Kinder and Glossop MRTs search the edge of Kinder Scout for a missing person who had left there car on midday Thursday and had not returned. The person was found alive and well by one of the Rescue teams at 20:00.

30 April 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), Steve Ward (Bryn) and John Coombs (Biscuit), Simon Adams (Pip) and Dave Coss (Sally) were called to search for 2 walkers who had become lost whilst following a route from a guide book (no map or compass etc). After a number of telephone conversations there location was thought to be on Dukes Drive, Howden Moor. A section from Woodhead MRT located them in this area.

11 April 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), Steve Ward (Bryn) and John Coombs (Biscuit) were called to search for a missing 84 year old altziemers sufferer missing in the Coisley Hill Area of Sheffield. The dog teams were to search areas of woodland and scrub centred around the Trans Pennine Trail. Search stood down with nothing found.

11 April 2006 MPSRO
Dave Marsh (Chi) were called to search with Bolton MRT for a missing vulnerable 39 year old female aroudn Sale Water Park, South Manchester. Nothing was found

10 April 2006 NESRA
Paul Fell (Holly), Des Toward (Misty) and Lee Ferry (Bracken) were called to look for a missing young girl in the Aycliffe aea. She had been missing for 18 hours and was insulin dependant. Police enquiries are ongoing.

8 April 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), Steve Ward (Bryn) , John Coombs (Biscuit), Simon Adams (Pip), Malc Bowyer (Tryg) were called to search for a 30 year old man who had set off walking and became disorientated in bad weather on Howden Edge. As teams began searching the mist cleared and the missing person was able to make his own way off the hill.

03 April 2006 SWERA Matt Robertson (Amber) and Dave Humphries (Storm) were called at 2145 to search for a missing despondent male with suicidal tendancy who had park his car and gone for a walk. He was located by Ashburton SRT near to his parked car in a cold condition, and taken to hospital by ambulance.

02 April 2006 PDMRO
Ian Bunting (Tyke), Steve Ward(Bryn) were called at 1700 by Edale MRT to search for a 25yr old male who had not returned to his family after going Mountain Biking in the Upper Derwent Valley. The team was stood down prior to deployment when the person was located cycling down the A57 to Sheffield.

01 April 2006 LDSAMRA
Kevin Stead(Gyp), Andy Colau (Tara), and Two dog teams from Southern Scotland attended a continuation search for a Missing 75 yr old man (See 25th March). This search for was to clear a steep wooded river valley from start of ravine to the outflow on both sides of a river. The person was not found.

Paul Fell (Holly) were called to assist Teesdale and Weardale MRT to search for a vulnerable missing person with a possibility of a drugs overdose in the Shildon area . The misper was located as the dog team was being deployed and was taken to hospital via ambulance.

Dave March (Chi) and Simon Adams (Pip) were called to search with Bolton MRT for a missing female aged 21, from the Crumpsall area of Manchester with a possible self harm history. The missing person turned up safe and well at the close of the search.

Bill Batson (Fern), Lee Ferry (Bracken), Ian Thompson (Beth) and Brian Allport (Gem) attended a search in the Appleby area for a Missing 75 yr old man from Murton near Appleby. The search involved mountain rescue teams from Penrith, Kirby Stephen, Swaledale and the RAF, along with Search Dogs from SARDA England, Wales and Lakes.

Dave March (Chi) were called to search with Bolton MRT for a missing from home male aged 65, the mispers car having been found abandoned. The search concluded when the person was found standing waist deep in a reservoir by local Ranger undertaking a binocular search .

21 March 2006 SWERA DOG FIND (1 Person)
Alex Lyons (Aiken) ,Dave Humphries (Storm) and navigators Nicki Lyons and Jamie Reading were requested to assist Datrmoor Search and Rescue Team to search woodland around Wislandpound Reservoir, for a 73 year old despondent male missing since 19th. Aiken found a handkerchief (later confirmed to belong to the misper) on a track leading to the reservoir, then Aiken indicated at the waters edge. Storm later indicated at the same point. A Police underwater team recovered the missing person.

19 March 2006 SWERA
Alex Lyons (Aiken ) ,Matt Robertson (Amber) and navigators Nicki Lyons and Jamie Reading were called at 09:00 to assist Cornwall Search and Rescue Team and HM Coastguard to search sand dunes at Perranporth near point last seen, for a 51 year old male missing since 11:00 the previous day whilst taking his dog for a walk. He was found safe and well by the police. The search ended at 12:30.

Lee Ferry (Bracken) whilst on a team training exercise they were called to assist with the evacuation of a female walker with a broken leg. At the time of the call the exact location of the casualty was not known so the team leader requested the dog team to attend in case the exact location of the casualty could not be given. Casualty was located by a team member and evacuated by Air Ambulance.

Lee Ferry (Bracken) were called at 02:00 hrs to search for a despondent male missing from home in Darlington. Search stood down as the search teams deployed when the missing person returned home.

Dave Humphrey (Storm) were called at 00:30 to assist Exmoor Search and Rescue Team to search steep ground in the Barle Valley Lynton for a missing 73 year old male who had been missing since 16:00 the previous day. He was located by Police. The search ended at 01:00

Dave Humphrey (Storm) and Alex Lyons (Aiken ) were called at 08:00 to assist Exmoor Search and Rescue Team to search rural area around Taunton for a missing 80 year old male Althzimers who was also desponent and has been missing before. He was found wandering the roads 5 miles from home. The search ended at 12:30.

Lee Ferry (Bracken) were called at 18:30 hrs to search for a vulnerable missing 14yr old girl who had been missing in the Easington area. Search stood down at 20:30 when she turned up safe and well outside of the search area.

06 March 2006 SWERA DOG FIND (1 Person)
Dave Humphrey (Storm) were called at 22:00 to assist Exmoor Search and Rescue Team to search Cliff tops and woodland for a missing 62 year old male depresive/althzimers sufferer missing from Ilfracombe, Storm located the person lying on a bench on the cliff top, he was wet/hypothermic and was taken for a medical checkup. The search ended at 23:27.

Dave Marsh (Chi) were called to search for a missing 11 year old in open ground around Bury near to where the boy lived. The search came to an unfortunate end when the body of the boy was located in a bin the following day as the search contunued.

Ian Bunting (Tyke), Steve Ward (Bryn), John Coombs (Biscuit) were called at 21:45 to assist Edale, Glossop and Woodhead MR teams to search for a missing 69 year old male walker reported missing who had been last seen earlier in day at Wain Stones on Bleaklow. The search ended at 01:00 when the missing person made his own way off the hill as teams were searching.

12 Feb 2006 YDP DOG FIND (2 Persons)
Bill Batson and Fern were called to search for a husband and wife who had become lost descending Inglebrough in very poor visibility and called in their predicament on their mobile. Bill, Fern a member of the CRO located them cold but otherwise well, above steep ground at the head of Crummackdale. They were escorted a waiting CRO land rover and taken back to their car at Horton in Ribblesdale.

Ian Bunting (Tyke), John Coombs (Biscuit) Where called to search for a 60yr old male who’s car had been found near Castleton, who had been reported missing in Kent the previous week. It was not known how long the car had been there. A search of the surrounding hillside was carried out by SARDA and MR Teams from Edale, Buxton, Kinder and Derby. The person was not found.

Dog handlers were training in the area earlier had talked to misper at approx 0800hrs. Team stood down on route misper returned to his car

Alex Lyons with Aiken & Dave Humphrey with Storm were called to assist Dartmoor Search And Rescue Tavistock to search for a 47 year old female missing from home in Chagford Devon. Dogs stood down after a total of 12 hours searching when money was withdrawn from a ATM in Exeter.

All were stood down after when the missing person was located by police on the A6 near Lancaster.
