Here are some of the handlers who are currently being trained by the Association.
Nick Shepherd - Dolly

Nick has been a member of Kinder Mountain Rescue Team since 2004.

Nick got Dolly as an eight week old in December 2008 and began training in December 2009.

Dolly is Nick's first trainee search dog.
Rob Heath - Toohey

Rob has been a member of Dartmoor S.R.T (Plymouth) for five years.

He has spent time in Australia where he came across the attributes of the Kelpie breed.

Toohey was born in November 2009. Rob got Toohey from a breeder in Gloucestershire .

Although always being a dog owner Toohey is Rob's first SARDA dog.
Mimi Davies - Blue

Blue is an Australian cattle dog. This is Mimi's first search dog.

Pete Farnell - Meg

Pete joined the Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team in 1974 and has served in various roles over the years including a spell as team leader.  He is currently team chairman.

Meg is Pete's fourth Border Collie but first to train as a search dog.

She loves a daily swim in her local reservoir which she credits with giving her such a clean and shiny coat!
Richard Warriner and Elf

Rich is a member of Derby MRT and has had rough collies from early childhood

He has always wanted to train a Search and Rescue dog and says that he is fully prepared for the ribbing he's going to get regarding training "A Lassie dog".

Elf is his first search dog and started training him with Sarda in 2010.
Dave Astley and Jack

Dave is a member of, and fundraising coordinator for Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team.

He has been training Jack since December 2009.

Jack is a Border Collie who enjoys working for tennis balls and a cuddle from a dogsbody.
